In the paper [J. Reine Angew. Math. 664, 141--162 (2012; Zbl 1271.14058)], the authors showed that rank \(2\) Fano vector bundles over the Grassmannian \(\mathbb{G}(1,n)\) of lines in \(\mathbb{P}^n\), with \(n \geq 5\) ``are twists of the universal quotient bundle or sums of line bundles''. The proof given there was not applicable to \(n=4\), so that the aim of this paper is to complete the result also for \(\mathbb{G}(1,4)\). The main result of the paper is Theorem 1.1. which asserts: ``Let \(E\) be a rank two Fano bundle on \(\mathbb{G}(1,4)\); then \(E\) is either a twist of the universal quotient bundle or a direct sum of two line bundles.''
