The main result of the paper is the following theorem: For any given Eschenburg space \(E^7_{a,b}\) there exist infinitely many mutually nonhomotopy equivalent Bazaikin spaces into which the space \(E^7_{a,b}\) can be embedded as a totally geodesic submanifold. The ability to embed a positively curved Eschenburg space as a totally geodesic submanifold of a Bazaikin space of positive curvature is discussed in detail.
