It is known that loose Legendrian or transverse knots are coarsely classified by their classical invariants, precisely: On an overtwisted contact manifold, for each null-homologous knot type \(\mathcal{K}\) and for each pair of integers \((t,r)\) satisfying \(t+r\) is odd, there exists a unique, up to contactomorphism, loose Legendrian knot \(L\) in the knot type \(\mathcal{K}\) having the Thurston-Bennequin invariant equal to \(t\) and the rotation number equal to \(r\) and respectively, for each odd integer \(s\) there exists a unique, up to contactomorphism, loose transverse knot \(T\) in the knot type \(\mathcal{K}\) with the self-linking number equal to \(s\). In the present paper, interesting results on the classification of hyperbolic Legendrian and transverse knots of the binding of an open book supporting the given contact structure are proved. Given an open book decomposition with connected binding of a closed \(3\)-manifold \(M\), if \(B\) is a knot and \(\xi\) the contact structure obtained by a full Lutz twist along \(B\) of the contact structure on \(M\), then \((B,\xi)\) supports an infinite number of Legendrian knots with the same classical invariants. Moreover, if \(B\) is a hyperbolic knot, a classification is given, and for the particular case when \(-B\) (i.e. \(B\) with the reversed orientation) and \(B\) are smoothly isotopic, the above classification is extended. Under the same hypotheses, if the open book decomposition is non-trivial, there exists an infinite number of non-loose transverse knots with the same self-linking number. Moreover, if \(B\) is a hyperbolic knot, a classification is given and the particular cases when \(-B\) and \(B\) are isotopic or not are considered.
