The author presents his most important results on low dimensional connected topological loops \(L\) having \(\text{Mult}(L)\) as the group topologically generated by all translations of \(L\). For proper topological loops of dimension \(\leq 2\) the group \(\text{Mult}(L)\) is a Lie group if and only if \(\text{dim}(L)=2\) and the group \(\text{Mult}(L)\) is nilpotent, more precisely, an elementary filiform Lie group of dimension \(\geq 4\) [cf. \textit{Á. Figula}, J. Group Theory 12, No. 3, 419--429 (2009; Zbl 1165.22005)]. There are many \(3\)-dimensional connected topological loops such that \(Mult(L)\) is nilpotent but not filiform as well as solvable but not a nilpotent Lie group.
