Let \(\mathcal L(X,Y)\) denote the Banach space of all continuous linear operators acting from a Banach space \(X\) to a Banach space \(Y\). An operator \(G \in \mathcal L(X,Y)\) is called a Daugavet center if \(\|G + T\| = \|G\| + \|T\|\) for all rank one operators \(T \in \mathcal L(X,Y)\). Generalizing narrow operators and rich subspaces introduced by \textit{V. M. Kadets} et al. [Stud. Math. 147, No. 3, 269--298 (2001; Zbl 0986.46010)], the author introduces \(G\)-narrow operators and \(G\)-rich subspaces related to a Daugavet center \(G\). The paper contains a number of nice results on the introduced notions, some of which generalize known properties of narrow operators and rich subspaces. For instance, Theorem 3.8 asserts that, under mild assumptions, a point-wise unconditionally convergent series of \(G\)-narrow operators is unbounded from below.
