Let \(f:X\to X\) be a given self-map on a topological space \(X\). The ``homotopy minimal period set'' of \(f\) is defined as \[ \mathrm{HPer}(f):=\bigcap_{g\simeq f}\left\{ n\in \mathbb N \mid\mathrm{Fix}(g^n) -\bigcup_{k<n}\mathrm{Fix} (g^k)\neq \emptyset \right\}, \] where \(g:X\to X\) runs over all maps homotopic to \(f\). It reflects information about the dynamics of \(f\) (see the book of \textit{J. Jezierski} and \textit{W. Marzantowicz} [Homotopy methods in topological fixed and periodic points theory. Berlin: Springer (2006; Zbl 1085.55001)]). The authors define a ``density of homotopical minimal period'': \[ \mathrm{DH}(f)=\liminf_{n\to \infty}\frac{\sharp \left\{ k\mid k\leq n, k\in\mathrm{HPer} (f)\right\}}{n}, \] which is a real number in the unit interval. In particular, if \(\mathrm{DH}(f)\) is positive, then \(\mathrm{HPer}(f)\) is infinite. Some sufficient conditions are given for self-maps on flat manifolds which imply the positivity of \(\mathrm{DH}(f)\).
