Starting from some versions of the Schwarz lemma, obtained by \textit{A. Nokrane} and \textit{T. Ransford} [Complex Variables, Theory Appl. 45, No. 2, 183--196 (2001; Zbl 1023.30027)], as well as by \textit{G. Bharali} [Integral Equations Oper. Theory 59, No. 3, 329--343 (2007; Zbl 1144.47013)], the authors prove a refined version of these results, which allows an approach to the spectral Nevanlinna-Pick problem with more than two interpolation points.
