The present paper is devoted to a switched system associated to a generic couple of Hamiltonians \(H_1\), \(H_2\) on a symplectic manifold \(N\). The main result states that the orbits and reachable sets of such a system are generically the whole of \(N\). The proofs make fundamentally use of three ingredients, namely the Rashevski-Chow theorem, the Thom transversality theorem and the Hamiltonian flow-box theorem.
