The following conjecture was made by Ih, and refined by Silverman and Zhang: Let \(A\) be an abelian variety defined over a number field \(k\), and let \(D\) be an effective divisor on \(A\), defined over \(k\), such that at least one of its irreducible components is not the translation of an abelian subvariety by a torsion point. Let \(S\) be a finite set of places of \(k\) containing all the Archimedean places. Then the set of all torsion points of \(A(\bar k)\) which are \(S\)-integral with respect to \(D\) is not Zariski dense in \(A\). This conjecture has been proved for elliptic curves by \textit{M. Baker} et al. [Algebra Number Theory 2, No. 2, 217--248 (2008; Zbl 1182.11030)]. The author proves an analogue of this conjecture for Drinfeld modules. Let \(\Phi\) be a Drinfeld module in normal form over a finite extension \(K\) of \({\mathbb F}_q(t)\), where \(q\) is a prime power. Assume that \(\Phi\) has good reduction at all finite places of \(K\) and that it has non complex multiplication. Let \(\beta\in K\) be a nontorsion point for \(\Phi\), and let \(S\) be a finite set of places of \(K\). Then there exist at most finitely many \(\gamma\in K^{\text{sep}}\) which are torsion points under the action of \(\Phi\) and which are \(S\)-integral with respect to \(\beta\). In the context of algebraic dynamical systems, the author also proves that in the backward orbit of a nonpreperiodic (nontorsion) point under the action of a Drinfeld module of generic characteristic there exist at most finitely many points \(S\)-integral with respect to another nonpreperiodic point, thus providing the answer (in positive characteristic) to a question raised by \textit{V. A. Sookdeo} [J. Number Theory 131, No. 7, 1229--1239 (2011; Zbl 1246.37102)].
