Let \(\mathcal{G}\) be the group of polynomial automorphisms of the affine complex plane \(\mathbb{A}_{\mathbb{C}}^{2}.\) By the Jung-van der Kulk theorem each \(\sigma\in\mathcal{G}\) can be represented as a composition \(\sigma =\alpha_{1}\circ\beta_{1}\circ\ldots\alpha_{k}\circ\beta_{k}\circ\alpha _{k+1},\) where \(\alpha_{i}\) are affine automorphisms and \(\beta_{j}\) are triangular automorphisms. Under some normalization \(k\) and the multidegree \(d(\sigma):=(\deg\beta_{1},\ldots,\deg\beta_{k})\) are uniquely defined. Let us denote by \(\mathcal{G}_{d}\subset\mathcal{G}\) the set of automorphisms whose multidegree is \(d=(d_{1},\ldots,d_{k}),\) \(d_{i}\geq2.\) The authors prove that in the Zariski topology of \(\mathcal{G}\) (it is an infinite dimensional algebraic variety) the following fact holds: if \(a,b\geq2\) and \(c\geq1\) are integers and \(d:=ab-1\) then \(\mathcal{G}_{(cd+a)}\subset\overline {\mathcal{G}_{(cd-1,b,a)}}\). For part II, cf. [\textit{E. Edo}, Acta Math. Vietnam. 32, No. 2--3, 155--168 (2007; Zbl 1147.14030)].
