The paper under review deals with the Cauchy problem \[ \begin{cases} \partial_tu=\Delta u+ f & \text{in}\;S_T=M\times [0,T],\\ u=u_0 & \text{in}\;M\times \{0\}, \end{cases} \] where \(M\) is a geodesically complete \(N\)-dimensional Riemannian manifold, \(\Delta\) stands for the Laplace-Beltrami operator on \(M,\) \(f\in C(S_T),\) and \(u_0\in L^p_{\text{loc}}(M)\) for some \(p\in [1,2].\) The author proves a uniqueness result for the above problem in the framework of suitable weighted Lebesgue spaces, generalizing this way what is known from [\textit{A. Grigor'yan}, Bull. Am. Math. Soc., New Ser. 36, No. 2, 135--249 (1999; Zbl 0927.58019)] in the case \(p=2\).
