Let \(G\) be a finite group, \(\mathbb ZG\) its integral group ring. In several research papers [such as \textit{E. Jespers} et al., Algebr. Represent. Theory 15, No. 2, 359-377 (2012; Zbl 1259.20002); or J. Algebra 387, 99-116 (2013; Zbl 1294.16026)], the group of units \(U(\mathbb ZG)\) is described up to commensurability under various assumptions for \(G\). The authors consider certain exceptional cases, resulting in a description up to commensurability for all \(G\) that do not have a non-commutative Frobenius complement as a quotient. Let \(\mathbb QG\) have a faithful simple component of either a \(2\times 2\)-matrix ring over \(\mathbb Q\), over an imaginary quadratic extension of \(\mathbb Q\) or over a totally definite quaternion algebra with center \(\mathbb Q\). Then the 56 isomorphism types of groups \(G\) are tabulated by the authors with GAP Small Groups Library IDs. An effective method is provided to compute \(U(\mathbb ZG)\) up to commensurability, and an example is computed for \(G\) of Small Groups Library ID [\textit{S. K. Sehgal}, Units in integral group rings. Harlow: Longman Scientific \& Technical; New York: John Wiley \& Sons (1993; Zbl 0803.16022); \textit{B. Banieqbal}, J. Algebra 119, No. 2, 449-512 (1988; Zbl 0663.20052)], which group has already been considered by different methods [in \textit{A. Pita} et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 357, No. 8, 3215-3237 (2005; Zbl 1070.16030)].
