Summary: Making use of the linear operator \(I^m_{\lambda}\) defined by the first author [Tamkang J. Math. 43, No. 3, 417--422 (2012; Zbl 1255.30011)], we introduce the class \(\mathbb M^m_{p,j}(\lambda, \mu, \alpha)\) of meromorphically \(p\)-valent functions in the punctured unit disk \(\mathcal U^{\ast}\). Furthermore, we obtain some sufficient conditions for starlikeness and close-to-convexity for functions belonging to this class. Several corollaries and consequences of the main results are also considered.
