A Borel measure \(\mu\) on \({\mathbb R}^n\) is called \(1\)-rectifiable if there exist countably many rectifiable curves \(\Gamma_i \subset {\mathbb R}^n\) such that \(\mu({\mathbb R}^n \setminus \bigcup_i \Gamma_i )=0\). The main result of the paper is the Theorem: If \(\mu\) is \(1\)-rectifiable, then the density-normalized \(L^2\) Jones function for this measure is finite at \(\mu\)-a.e. \(x\in{\mathbb R}^n\).
