    By using the methods of perturbation and invariant sets of descending flow, the authors obtain the existence of infinitely many sign-changing solutions of the equation \[ -\Delta u +u-u\Delta u^2=a(x)|u|^{r-2}u, \;x\in {\mathbb R}^N\,. \]
