Schur-Agler and Herglotz-Agler classes of functions: positive-kernel decompositions and transfer-function realizations (Q2346037): Difference between revisions

After a long introductory discussion containing the necessary notions and results for further development, the authors continue, in Section 2, to present some ideas from the Kreǐn space geometry and from the infinite-dimensional system theory. They especially insist upon the concept of system node, to be further used. Their results for the Herglotz-Agler class over the polydisk and for the Schur-Agler class over the right polyhalfplane are discussed in Sections 3 and 4, respectively. Section 5 deals with the authors' results for the restricted Herglotz-Agler class over the right polyhalfplane, where a growth condition at infinity must imposed. Finally, in Section 6, the authors identify the nonhomogeneous unbounded Bessmertnyǐ\ operator pencils, leading to a realization for the most general Herglotz-Agler function over the right polyhalfplane.
