In this paper, the authors consider the differential equation \[ -y''(x)+ q(x)y(x)=\lambda y(x),\quad x\in(0,b_{1})\cup(b_{1},b_{2})\cup(b_{2},\pi) \] with the periodic boundary conditions \[ y(0)=y(\pi), \quad y'(0)=y'(\pi) \] and with the jump conditions \((i = 1, 2),\) \[ y(b_{i}+0)=a_{i}y(b_{i}-0), \quad y'(b_{i}+0)=a_{i}^{-1}y'(b_{i}-0)+d_{i}y(b_{i}-0). \] Here \(\lambda\) is the spectral parameter, \(q(x)\) is a realvalued function in \(L_{2}(0, \pi),\) and the parameters \(a_{i}\), \(b_{i}\), \(d_{i}\) are real. Also \(b_{2} > b_{1}.\) The above boundary value problem is denoted by \(L = L(q(x), a_{i}, b_{i}, d_{i})\). They transform this discontinuous periodic Sturm-Liouville problem into a new problem by rotating. Then the authors study the inverse problem for \(L\) and give the uniqueness theorem. They also establish an algorithm for the recovery of the discontinuous periodic Sturm-Liouville operator and coefficients of the jump conditions.
