The author studies the analytic Radon-Nikodým property on the spaces defined by the classical methods of complex interpolation \((A_0,A_1)_\theta\) and \((A_0,A_1)^\theta\) as well as the real method \((A_0,A_1)_{\theta,p}\) whenever \(A_0\) is dense in \(A_1\). He shows that under the assumption that \((A_0^*, A_1^*)_\theta= (A_0^*, A_1^*)^\theta\) the fact that both spaces \(A_0\) and \(A_1\) do not contain \(\ell^1\) homothetically implies that \((A_0,A_1)_\theta\) does not contain \(\ell^1\) isomorphically and he presents the example of \((L^\psi, L^1)_\theta\) with \(\psi(t)=t \log(1+t)\) to show that the assumption in the previous result is needed. This argument allows him to show that \(((L^\psi)^*, L^\infty)_\theta\) does not have the analytic Radon-Nikodým property (to be denoted aRNP) in spite of the fact that the inclusion map from \(L^\infty \to (L^\psi)^*\) is a Radon-Nikodým operator. In the positive he shows that, whenever \(A_1\) has the analytic Radon-Nikodým property and the closure in \(A_1\) of the unit ball of \(A_{\theta,p}\) remains in \(A_{\theta,p}\), then \(A_{\theta,p}\) has the analytic Radon-Nikodým property. In particular, if \(A_0^*\) has the aRNP, then \((A_0,A_1)_{\theta,p}\) inherits the aRNP. Concerning the connection between the complex interpolation methods he shows, among other things, that \((\ell^\infty(A_0), \ell^\infty(A_1))_\theta \subset(\ell^\infty(A_0), \ell^\infty(A_1))^\theta \) with strict inclusion unless \(A_0=A_1\) and gives an example to obtain that \(L^p(\mathbb T, (A_0,A_1)^\theta) \subset (L^p(\mathbb T, A_0), L^p(\mathbb T, A_0))^\theta\) with strict inclusion for \(1<p<\infty\). Several results concerning the interpolation spaces between vector-valued Hardy spaces of harmonic and holomorphic functions \((h^p(\mathbb D, A_0), h^p(\mathbb D, A_1))_\theta\) and \((H^p(\mathbb D, A_0), H^p(\mathbb D, A_1))_\theta\) in the case that \(i:A_0\to A_1\) is a Radon-Nikodým or an analytic Radon-Nikodým operator are presented.
