Given a geodesic triangle on a unit sphere and three positive constant weights corresponding to its vertices, the weighted Fermat-Toricelli problem consists in finding a point that minimizes the sum of the weighted lengths of the geodesic arcs uniting this point with the vertices. An analytic solution of this problem is given in case of an equilateral geodesic triangle consisting in three equal geodesic arcs of length \(\frac{\pi}{2}\). A necessary condition to locate the weighted Fermat-Toricelli point at the interior of a geodesic triangle on an unit sphere, with sides less than \(\frac{\pi}{2}\), is given.
