The authors consider the following Dirichlet problem of the \(\mathrm{SU}(3)\) type Toda system: \[ \begin{aligned} & -\Delta u_1=2\rho_1\frac{e^{u_1}}{\int_\Omega e^{u_1}} -\rho_2\frac{e^{u_2}}{\int_\Omega e^{u_2}}, \\ & -\Delta u_2 =2 \rho_1 \frac{e^{u_2}}{\int_\Omega e^{u_2}} -\rho_2 \frac{e^{u_1}}{\int_\Omega e^{u_1}}\text{ in }\Omega; \\ & u_1|_{\partial \Omega}= u_2|_{\partial \Omega}=0\end{aligned}\tag{TS} \] where \(\rho_1>0\) and \(\rho_2>0\) are constant, \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^2\) is a smooth bounded domain with some kind of symmerty (\(k\)-symmetry). By using the singular perturbation methods, the authors prove that problem (TS) has a continuum of solutions with one component of the solutions having a certain global mass, both components of the solutions blow up at the same point and the blowup behavior is asymmetric.
