The paper under review deals with a class of nonlinear biharmonic equations with the \(p\)-Laplacian \[ \Delta^2u-\beta\Delta_pu+\lambda V(x)u=f(x,u)\text{ in }\mathbb{R}^N,\quad u\in H^2(\mathbb{R}^N), \] where \(N\geq1,\) \(\beta\in\mathbb{R}\), \(p\geq 2\) and \(\lambda>0\) is a parameter. Under suitable assumptions on the functions \(V(x)\) and \(f(x, u),\) the authors prove existence of multiple nontrivial solutions when \(\lambda\) is large anough. The proofs are based on variational methods and on the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality.
