A relaxation of the notion of a hyperoval is that of a \(\mathrm{KM}_{q, t}\)\textit{-arc} in \(\mathrm{PG}(2, q)\) -- also known as a \((q+t, t)\)-arc of type \((0, 2, t)\) and introduced by \textit{G. Korchmáros} and \textit{F. Mazzocca} [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 108, No. 3, 445--459 (1990; Zbl 0716.51010)]; it is a set \(S\) of \(q + t\) points in \(\mathrm{PG}(2, q)\) for which every projective line \(l\) meets S in \(0\), in \(2\) or in \(t\) points. The author of this paper establishes a full classification, up to projective equivalence, of \(\mathrm{KM}_{q, t}\)-arcs in \(\mathrm{PG}(2, q)\) for \(q\leq 32\). He also constructs a \(\mathrm{KM}_{64, 4}\)-arc, the existence of which was previously unknown, fully settling the existence problem of \(\mathrm{KM}_{q, t}\)-arcs for \(q \leq 64\).
