The main result of the paper is a classification of the bounded domains \(\Omega\subset{\mathbb C}^2\) for which there exist a sequence \(\{\phi_j\}_{j\in{\mathbb N}}\) in \(\mathrm{Aut}(\Omega)\) and a point \(q\in\Omega\) with \(\lim_{j\in{\mathbb N}}\phi_j(q)=p\), where \(p\in\partial\Omega\) is not of infinite type II, in a sense that is defined in the paper.
