A new and precise computation of Lebesgue numbers for certain extended interpolants is carried through. Surprisingly, using noisy data and incorporating everyday rounding errors, exponentially growing condition numbers causing severe instability can be established. This leads to complete instability of extrapolation using those interpolants as used so far in earlier research.
