This paper gives several new constructions of the Poisson enveloping algebra. Let us recall that Rinehart proved a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for the enveloping algebra of a Lie-Rinehart algebra. This theorem boils down for Poisson algebras over a commutative ring. In this work, the authors show that the PBK theorem still holds for a large class of singular (non-smooth) Poisson algebras.
