It is well-known that, if \((f_n)\) is a sequence of convex functions \(f_n:D\to\mathbb{R}\) (\(D\subset\mathbb{R}^N\) open convex set) and \(A\subset D\) is dense set, then (i) if \((f_n)\) converges pointwise for every \(x\in A\), then it converges uniformly on every compact set in \(D\), and its limit is a convex function; (ii) if \((f_n)\) is pointwise bounded for \(x\in A\), then \((f_n)\) contains a subsequence \((f_{n(k)})\) which converges uniformly on every compact set contained in \(D\), and its limit is a convex function. The author partially generalizes part (i) for the case of sequences of continuously \(\alpha\)-convex functions on an open connected subset of such topological abelian groups \(G\) which are also \(T_0\) spaces and Baire spaces. He also gives an analogue of part (ii) with the above assumptions, and with the additional condition that \(G\) is separable.
