The two-scale homogenization method is used to obtain a rigorous justification for the most common system which describes local thermal non-equilibrium phenomena in porous media -- see [\textit{D. A. Nield} and \textit{A. Bejan}, Convection in porous media. 2nd ed. New York, NY: Springer (1999; Zbl 0924.76001)]. For this, a biphasic \(\epsilon\) porous media is considered, with the Boussinesq approximation for a Stokes flow in the pores. The interfacial thermal barrier introduced in [\textit{M. Quintard}, ``Modelling local non-equilibrium heat transfer in porous media'', in: Proceedings of the 11th international heat transfer conference. I. Seoul, Korea: Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers. 279--285 (1998)], where a first-oder temperature jump exists, is used. The so called \(\epsilon\)-domes are attached to the cells near the boundary of the porous domain, to improve the smoothness of the \(\epsilon\)-periodic interface described in [\textit{D. Poliševski}, Appl. Anal. 82, No. 4, 301--309 (2003; Zbl 1038.35009)].
