The aim of this paper is to study the propagation of chaos for a rarified gas of hard spheres by using Lanford's uniform bounds. The main tool will be the Bogoliubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon (BBGKY) hierarchy. First, several definitions and remarks regarding strong convergence are given. The starting point is the dual BBGKY hierarchy in connection with Liouville's equation followed by proofs of weighted \(\mathscr{L}^1\) bounds on independent observables. The goal is to extend these a priori bounds to the entire time interval. The main technical contribution is a stability theorem for pseudo-trajectories. The proofs, which consist of several independent sections, use the divergence theorem, Duhamel series and triangle inequality.
