Let \(G\) be a compact Lie group and \(G/H\) be a homogeneous space of this group. The author considers the space \(G/H \times [0,1]\) as a cohomogeneity-one manifold. The \(G\)-invariant deformations of one invariant Einstein metric on \(G/H\) to another are considered. For two \(G\)-invariant Einstein metrics \(\hat g_1,\hat g_2\) on \(M\), the problem of finding a \(G\)-invariant Einstein metric \(g\) on the manifold \(G/H \times [0, 1]\), for which the metrics on \(G/H \times \{0\}\) and \(G/H \times \{1\}\), induced by \(g\), coincide with \(\hat g_0\) and \(\hat g_1\), respectively (the author calls it Dirichlet problem), is considered. It is proved that if the isotropy representation of \(G/H\) consists only of pairwise inequivalent irreducible summands (this assumption allows to diagonalise the Einstein equation, substantially simplifying analysis), such deformation exists. Also the special case of the Dirichlet problem for invariant Einstein metrics on the torus \(T^d\) (where the aforementioned assumption is not valid) is considered.
