The system \[ \begin{aligned} u_t & =\Delta (u^m)-\nabla\cdot(u\nabla v),\\ v_t & =\Delta v-vu, \end{aligned} \] describing chemotaxis with a degenerate diffusion, consumption of the chemoattractant and the logistic source term, studied in bounded domains, supplemented with no-flux boundary conditions. This paper is a continuation of a work by the same author [J. Differ. Equations 265, No. 1, 332--353 (2018; Zbl 1392.92014)] on the global in time existence and boundedness of solutions. The main result is the stabilization of solutions to the homogeneous steady state \((u,v)=(1,0)\).
