This paper considers logharmonic mappings \(F\) on the open unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) of the form \(F(z)=zH(z)\overline{g(z)}\), where \(H\) and \(G\) are analytic on \(\mathbb{D}\), with analytic dilation \(a\) of absolute value less than 1, \(0\notin HG(\mathbb{D})\) and \(H(0)=G(0)=1\). The univalence of these logharmonic mappings is studied when certain associated functions have linearly connected range. A domain \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb{C}\) is linearly connected (with constant \(M<\infty\)) if any two points in it are connected by a path in \(\Omega\) of length at most \(M\) times the distance between them. Let \(\varphi=zH\). Let \(\phi(\eta)=\log \varphi(e^\eta)\) and \(f(\eta)=\log F(e^\eta)\) be the associated functions defined on lower half plane \(U\). The following are proved: \begin{itemize} \item[(i)] \(F\) is univalent if \(\phi(U)\) is linearly connected with \(M<1/|a|\), \item[(ii)] \(f(U)\) is linearly connected if \(M\leq C<1/|a|\), \item[(iii)] \(zH\) is univalent if \(F\) is univalent, \(f(U)\) is linearly connected with \(M<|a|^{-1}-1\), \item[(iv)] \(\phi(U)\) is linearly connected if \(F\) is univalent, \(f(U)\) is linearly connected with constant \(M\) and \(|a|\leq c<(1+M)^{-1}\), \item[(v)] \(F_\lambda(z)=zH(z)\overline{G(z)}^\lambda\) is univalent for all \(|\lambda|\leq 1\) (in this case, \(F\) is known as stable univalent) if \(F\) is univalent, \(f(U)\) is linearly connected with constant \(M\) and \(|a|<(1+2M)^{-1}\). \end{itemize} Since any convex domain is linearly connected with constant \(M=1\), the special case of convexity is discussed. Under the assumption in (v), distortion theorems and coefficient inequalities are also discussed.
