Let \((L^{r}[0,2\pi], \|\,\cdot\,\|_{r})\), \(1\leq r<\infty\), and \((L^{\infty}[0,2\pi], \|\,\cdot\,\|_{\infty})\) be the space of real \(2\pi\)-periodic and \(r\)-integrable functions and the space of real \(2\pi\)-periodic and essentially bounded functions, respectively. For \(\lambda:[0,2\pi]\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) an arbitrary function satisfying \(\lambda(l)>0\) if \(l\in (0,2\pi]\) and \( \lim_{l\to 0^{+}}\lambda(l)=\lambda(0)=0\), the author considers the generalized Zygmund class \(Z_{r}^{(\lambda)}\) defined by \[ Z_{r}^{(\lambda)}=\left\{ g\in L^{r}[0,2\pi]: 1\leq r<\infty,\, \sup_{l\neq 0} \frac{\|g(\cdot+l)-g(\cdot-l)\|_{r}}{\lambda(l)}<\infty \right\}, \] endowed with the norm \[ \|g\|_{r}^{(\lambda)}=\|g\|_{r}+ \sup_{l\neq 0} \frac{\|g(\cdot+l)-g(\cdot-l)\|_{r}}{\lambda(l)}. \] Then, the author obtains the following results: \par (a) An estimate for the degree of approximation of a conjugate function \(\tilde{g}\) of \(g\in Z_{r}^{(\lambda)}\) by Hausdorff means of its conjugate Fourier series (see Theorem 1). \par (b) An estimate for the degree of approximation of a derived conjugate function \(\tilde{g^\prime}\) of \(g\in Z_{r}^{(\lambda)}\) by Hausdorff means of its conjugate derived Fourier series (see Theorem 2). \par Although the author follows the methods and ideas of \textit{M. V. Singh} et al. [J. Inequal. Appl. 2017, Paper No. 101, 11 p. (2017; Zbl 1360.42005)], both estimates require a laborious treatment.
