New series involving harmonic numbers and squared central binomial coefficients (Q2293661): Difference between revisions

Let \(H_{n} \) be the harmonic numbers. The author presents an interesting discussion on the series \(\sum _{n=1}^{\infty }\left(\begin{array}{c} {2n} \\ {n} \end{array}\right) ^{2} \frac{H_{n} {\kern 1pt} a_{n}}{{32}^{n} } {\kern 1pt} \) and gives closed form evaluations for the cases \(a_{n} =\frac{1}{n+1} \), \(a_{n} =\frac{1}{2n-1} \), \(a_{n} =\frac{1}{(2n-1)^{2} } \), and also for \(a_{n} =\frac{2^{n} }{(n+k)^{2} } \), \(k=1,\, \, 2,\; 3,\; 4\). Some evaluations are related to challenging integrals. Various other related results are proved, too.
