The authors consider some degeneracy problems on two holomorphic curves \(f, g: \mathbb C\rightarrow \mathbb P^n(\mathbb C)\) sharing \(q\) hypersurfaces in general position in the cases when \(q=n+2,\) \(n+3,\) \(\max\{4,n+2\}\). By mainly combining a second main theorem for holomorphic curves in \(\mathbb P^n(\mathbb C)\) intersecting hypersurfaces due to \textit{T. H. A. Ta} and \textit{T. P. Ha} [Houston J. Math. 35, No. 3, 775--786 (2009; Zbl 1186.30031)] with a technique of using gcd bound due to \textit{D. Q. Si} [Kodai Math. J. 36, No. 3, 579--595 (2013; Zbl 1279.32017)], they prove a degeneracy theorem, i.e., a holomorphic curve \(f\times g:\mathbb C\rightarrow \mathbb P^n(\mathbb C)\times \mathbb P^n(\mathbb C)\) is algebraically degenerate, with some conditions imposed. It will be interesting to compare Theorem 1.2 in their paper with a result of \textit{H. Fujimoto} [Nagoya Math. J. 155, 161--188 (1999; Zbl 0946.32008)] who showed a degeneracy theorem for sharing \(2n+2\) hyperplanes with truncated multiplicities. Theorem 1.2 provides a better conclusion but assumes stronger conditions.
