The author derives system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) satisfied by modular forms of level three versions of Ramanujan's system of ODEs satisfied by the classical Eisenstein series. The specific aim of this paper is to derive systems of ODEs satisfied by \(a(q)=\sum_{m,n\in Z} q^{m^{2}+mn+n^{2}}\) by means of \textit{H. M. Farkas} and \textit{I. Kra} [Theta constants, Riemann surfaces and the modular group. An introduction with applications to uniformization theorems, partition identities and combinatorial number theory. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (2001; Zbl 0982.30001)] theory of theta functions with rational characteristics. Further, the author introduces the concept of theta functions with characteristics, its basic properties and representations associated to Jacobi's triple product identity, and also discusses about spaces of \(N\)-th order \(\theta\)-functions. Some theta functional formulas are introduced on the basis of new contributions made by the author and a new proofs for the Ramanujan's system of ODEs are also provided. For, new findings author discussed about its applications to number theory, provide related examples of Ramanujan's identity and some additional product series identities etc.
