Motivated by the definition of a Zariski pair of curves given by \textit{E. Artal Bartolo} [J. Algebr. Geom. 3, No. 2, 223--247 (1994; Zbl 0823.14013)], a Zariski multiplet is defined as a finite set of plane curves with the same combinatorial data and which are pairwise topologically non-equivalent. \textit{E. Artal Bartolo} and \textit{H.-o Tokunaga} [Topology Appl. 142, No. 1--3, 227--233 (2004; Zbl 1075.14013)] gave examples of Zariski multiplets for which the cardinality grows linearly with the degree of the curves. In this paper, examples for which the cardinality grows subexponentially in function of the degree are constructed. These curves are obtained as branch curves of linear projections to \(\mathbb P^2\) of surfaces of general type isogenous to a product, with disconnected moduli spaces.
