This paper fascinated me because of its unique construction. Roughly its first half focuses on various functional spaces that historically have seldom been discussed together, creating an excellent reference for researchers before extending the spaces later in the paper to produce the regularity of global solutions of partial differential equations in non-isotropic ultradifferentiable spaces via time-frequency methods. This establishes what I call ``the platform'' for the real work that follows. This platform includes functional spaces such as the Schwartz space of tempered distributions and Gevrey ultradifferentiable spaces. The Komatsu, Beurling and Björk classes of ultradifferentiiable functions and the Gabor functions are also included, to mention just a few. Many details are carefully examined so the reader can precisely explore the platform. To illustrate one example, the authors include the details for the space of ultradifferentiable functions of Beurling type. The definition for this space is clearly defined by the weight functions, which control the action on the functional and then define a denumerable sequence of seminorms, thus turning the space into a Fréchet space. This level of precise details enables the reader to understand clearly and to move on with assurance. This development style continues throughout the paper. Section 3 moves into time-frequency representations and non-isotropic ultradifferentiable classes. The short-time Fourier transform is defined as a partial Fourier transform of a function in \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\). The authors then analyze the partial Fourier transform on ultradifferentiable spaces. Again, many properties are proven with very precise details. In Section 4, the authors analyze the problem of regularity for solutions of partial differential equations with polynomial coefficients. These results are then implemented in studying representations of time-frequency, so they are profitably used in the field. The framework is once again carefully developed for this endeavor. Section 5 proves several novel results regarding the regularity of time-frequency representations in the Cohen class of distributions with kernels in the Schwartz space of tempered distributions. This section continues with results regarding using the time-frequency method to prove the regularity of solutions of partial differential equations in non-isotropic ultradifferentiable spaces. Not only its platform but also its novel results and contributions in the field make this an excellent paper.
