Let \(W\) be a group presented as the graph product associated to a graph of groups with underlying graph \(X\). Let \(\mathcal C\) be a family of finite groups closed under isomorphisms, taking subgroups and taking quotient groups. Given an equivariant homology theory (i.e.\ the data of a homology theory \(\mathcal H^G\) on \(G\)-spaces for every discrete group \(G\) together with induction morphisms \(\mathcal H^G \to \mathcal H^H \circ (G \times_H -)\) for every group homomorphism \(G\to H\)), the authors compute the evaluation \(\mathcal H^W(E_{\mathcal C}(W))\) of \(\mathcal H^W\) on the classifying space of \(W\) with respect to the family \(\mathcal C\). Concretely, they show that the canonical map \[ \mathop{\mathrm{colim}}\limits_{\sigma \in \mathcal P} \mathcal H^{W(\sigma)}(E_{\mathcal C}(W(\sigma))) \to \mathcal H^W(E_{\mathcal C}(W)) \] is an isomorphism, where \(\mathcal P\) denotes the poset of simplices of the flag complex of \(X\), and \(W(\sigma)\) is the graph product associated to the graph of groups indexed by the simplex \(\sigma\). In the presence of the graph product structure, the authors observe that the collection of homology modules \(\mathcal H^{W(\sigma)}(E_{\mathcal C}(W(\sigma)))\) also assembles into a contravariant functor. This bifunctorial behaviour is then exploited to produce a splitting of the above colimit into a direct sum indexed by \(\mathcal P\), where in the summand indexed by \(\sigma\) one has to quotient by the sum of the images of the induction maps associated to proper faces of \(\sigma\). Using these general formulas, the authors then restrict to the classes of right angled Artin groups and right angled Coxeter groups and determine their group homology, the topological K-theory of their real and complex group \(C^*\)-algebras (using the Baum-Connes conjecture) as well as the algebraic \(K\)- and \(L\)-theory of their group rings (using the Farrell-Jones conjecture). In the latter case, the authors impose additional assumptions on the ground ring to avoid the computation of nil-terms.
