The author considers \(q\)-concave real hypersurfaces in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and constructs an integral representation formula of Martinelli-Bochner-Koppelman type. Moreover he proves \(C^k\)-estimates for the integral operators in this formula. The main result of the article is the following. Let \(M=\{\rho=0\}\) be a real hypersurface in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and let \(z_0\) be a point in \(M\), such that the Levi form of \(\rho\) at the point \(z_0\) restricted to the complex tangent plane of \(M\) has at least \(q\) positive and \(q\) negative eigenvalues. Then there exist a neighbourhood \(M_0\subset M\) of \(z_0\) and kernels \(K_r(z,\zeta)\) for \(r=0,\dots,q-1, n-q-1, \dots,n-2\) defined on \(M_0 \times M_0\) minus the diagonal with the following properties: (i) For every piecewise smooth domain \(\Omega \subset\subset M_0\) and every form \(f \in C^0_{0,r}(\overline {\Omega})\) with \(\overline{\partial}_bf\in C^0_{0,r+1}(\overline {\Omega})\) \((0\leq r\leq q-1\) or \(n-q\leq r \leq n-1)\) the integral representation \[ (2\pi i)^nf=\overline {\partial}_b \int_\Omega f\wedge K_{r-1} + \int_\Omega \overline{\partial}_bf \wedge K_r - \int_{b\Omega} f \wedge K_r \] holds on \(\Omega\). (ii) The integral operator \(\int_{\Omega}\cdot \wedge K_r\) is a bounded linear operator from \(C^k_{0,r+1}(\overline{\Omega})\) to \(C^{k+1/2}_{0,r}(\Omega)\). The author uses this result to prove the following regularity property for \(\overline{\partial}_b\). \(\bullet\) If \(M\) is a 1-concave hypersurface and \(u\) is a distribution such that \(\overline{\partial}_bu\) is of class \(C^k\) then \(u\) is \(C^{k+1/2}\)-smooth. Note that this result contains the nonsolvable case. Moreover, there are some other applications and semiglobal versions of the formula and the estimates.
