Let \(G\) be a non-compact real semisimple Lie group and consider a co-adjoint orbit \(O\) equipped with the KKS symplectic form \(\omega\). There is a canonical homogeneous almost-complex structure \(J\) which turns out to be compatible with the KKS form, see Proposition 3.8 in the paper. The Chern-Ricci form of \(J\) is a closed two-form \(\rho\) on \(O\) and \(O\) is said to be Hermitian-Einstein or Chern-Einstein if \(\rho=\lambda \omega\) for some constant \(\lambda\). This last equation can be written in terms of certain elements which belong to the dominant Weyl chamber of a suitably chosen positive root system for \(\mathrm{Lie}(G)\) and the authors give a precise characterization of it in terms of a non-zero vector \(\varphi\) belonging to a convex cone \(C\) in \(\mathrm{Lie}(G)\), see Theorem 4.4 and Theorem 4.5. Furthermore, a formula for the Hermitian scalar curvature and Nijenhuis tensor of \(J\) in terms of \(\varphi\) and root data is given. In Section 7 compact locally homogeneous manifold of the form \((\Gamma \backslash G/V,\omega_{\Gamma})\) are considered, the authors prove that \((\Gamma\backslash G/V,\omega_{\Gamma})\) is not of Kähler type whenever \(M\) is symplectic Fano. Eventually, in Section 8, Vogan diagrams are used as a tool for making some steps toward the classification of all possible \((G/V,\omega,J)\) satisfying \(\rho=\lambda \omega\).
