The authors introduce the concepts of statistical Riemann integrability, deferred Cesàro statistical Riemann integrability and statistical deferred Cesàro Riemann summability and develop several implications for sequences of real-valued functions. Some of the mentionable results are as follows: \begin{itemize} \item[1.] Riemann integrability implies statistical Riemann integrability; \item[2.] statistical Riemann integrability implies statistical boundedness; \item[3.] deferred Cesàro statistical Riemann integrability implies statistical deferred Cesàro Riemann summability. \end{itemize} Besides this, a criterion for statistical Cauchy-Riemann integrability is proved and from the application point of view, some Korovkin-type results are established for positive linear operators.
