The purpose of the authors is to provide a new proof of the following result by \textit{C. Vincze} [Publ. Math. Debr. 83, No. 4, 741--755 (2013; Zbl 1299.53154)]: a non-Riemannian Finsler manifold admits at most one semi-symmetric compatible linear connection. To be more precise, they give a new proof for the uniqueness by using linear algebra and some basic facts about convex bodies and present an explicit formula for the solution without integration.
