This paper considers a \({\mathcal C}^{k,d}\) map \((2\leq k\leq+\infty,\;0<d<1)\) near a fixed point and studies a new class of \({\mathcal C}^{k,d}\) local invariant manifolds introduced by \textit{R. de la Llave} [J. Stat. Phys. 87, 211-249 (1997; Zbl 0965.37028)]. The existence and uniqueness of this class of manifolds is proved, under suitable conditions, by a method which does not require a cut-off function; then the result holds also in an infinite dimensional Banach space. (Remember that infinite dimensional Banach spaces do not necessarily admit smooth cut-off functions).
