On operad structures of moduli spaces and string theory (Q1908047): Difference between revisions

A real compactification of the moduli space of punctured rational algebraic curves is constructed and it is shown how the geometry yields operads governing homotopy Lie algebras, gravity algebras and Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras. These algebras have been formulated for application in string theory. From the topological point of view the authors have found a relationship between the homology of moduli spaces and a homotopy Lie algebra structure on the state space.
