The paper deals with the quasilinear elliptic equation \(-\text{div }\mathcal A\left( x,\nabla u\right) +\mathcal B\left( x,u\right) =\nu \) on a bounded domain, where \(\mathcal{A}\) and \(\mathcal{B}\) satisfy weighted structure conditions with \(p>1\) and \(\nu \) is a finite signed Radon measure. The author extends most of the existence and uniqueness results of \textit{G. Dal Maso, F. Murat, L. Orsina} and \textit{A. Prignet} [Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Cl. Sci., IV. Ser. 28, No. 4, 741--808 (1999; Zbl 0958.35045)] into three directions: for equations with a lower order term \(\mathcal{B}\left( x,u\right)\); for a weight in the structure conditions of \(\mathcal{A}\) and \(\mathcal{B}\); and for non-vanishing boundary conditions.
