Author has obtained the mode-III transient elastodynamic stress intensity factors of a stationary semi-infinite crack in an infinite strip for a particular case of a pair of anti-plane point crack-face loadings. An exact solution has been derived by using integral transform method together with the direct application of Wiener-Hopf technique and Cagniard-de Hoop method. The solution has been constructed in a series form. The first term in this solution is the exact solution for the crack in an infinite plane and hence as yet the waves have not been reflected against the strip surfaces. Each further term in the series solution corresponds to the solution that the waves have been reflected more times against the strip surfaces. The first three terms in the solution for the stress intensity factor have been computed numerically. The results obtained are exact for the time interval from initial loading until the first wave scattered at the crack tip is reflected three times at the strip surfaces and returns to the crack tip. The numerical results are given only for isotropic strips. The results for anisotropic strips can be obtained from the corresponding results for isotropic strips by the transformation of relevant parameters.
