In [St. Petersbg. Math. J. 26, No. 2, 193--206 (2015; Zbl 1318.53084); translation from Algebra Anal. 26, No. 2, 1--20 (2014)], the author showed that every Busemann nonpositively curved \(G\)-space is a topological manifold for the class of nonpositively curved \(G\)-spaces. The main tool used in the proof of this statement is the tangent cone. In the paper under review, significantly strengthened results on the metric structure of cone-type \(G\)-spaces are provided. The main result is the following theorem: ``Let \((X,d)\) be a Busemann nonpositively curved \(G\)-space of cone type with vertex \(p \in X\). Then \(X\) is isometric to a finite-dimensional vector space \(V\) endowed with a strictly convex norm.'' With this theorem the author is able to substantially shorten the proof of the main theorem in the aforementioned paper.
