A coherent system over a smooth projective curve \(X\) is a pair \((E,V)\) where \(E\) is a vector bundle over \(X\) and \(V\) a linear subspace of \(H^0(X,E)\). The moduli space of coherent systems depends on a positive parameter and has been constructed among others by \textit{S. B. Bradlow} et al. [Int. J. Math. 14, No. 7, 683--733 (2003; Zbl 1057.14041)] and \textit{J. Le Potier} [Systèmes cohérents et structures de niveau. Paris: Société Mathématique de France (1993; Zbl 0881.14008)]. In the paper under review, the author use homogeneous representations to generalize the concept of coherent systems and define the coherent systems of decorated vector bundles. Let \(\mathrm{GL}_r(\mathbb{C})\) be the linear algebraic group of \(r\times r\)-matrices, \(H\) a finite dimensional complex vector space, and \(\rho\) a homogeneous representation of \(GL_r(\mathbb{C})\) on \(H\). Given a vector bundle \(E\) of rank \(r\) on \(X\), the author use the representation \(\rho\) to associate with it the vector bundle \(E_{\rho}\). Fixing a line bundle \(L\) on \(X\), the author defines a coherent \(\rho\)-system as a pair \((E,\Gamma)\) where \(E\) is a vector bundle \(E\) on \(X\) of rank \(r\) and a \(\Gamma\) a linear subspace of \(H^0(X, E_{\rho}\otimes L)\) The author describe all the ingredients needed to apply geometry invariant theory to the case of decorated vector bundles associated with tensor powers of the standard representation of \(GL_r(\mathbb{C})\). In particular defines semistability, that depends on a positive rational number \(\delta\). Of particular interest is that in this case the parameter \(\delta\) is bounded. The main result is as follows: Let \(X\) be a smooth projective curve \(X\) over the complex numbers and \(d, a, r\) integer numbers with \(a, r > 0\). If \(W:=\mathbb{C}^r\) and \(\rho: GL_r(\mathbb{C}) \to GL(W^{\oplus a})\) is the \(a\)-th tensor power of the standard representation then for \(\delta < \frac{1}{a(a-1)r^{a-1}}\), there is a projective moduli scheme \(\mathcal{C}^{\delta}_{{X/\rho/\mathcal{O}_X/d/s}}\) for \(\delta\)-semistable coherent systems \((E,\Gamma)\) consisting of a vector bundle \(E\) of rank \(r\) and degree \(d\) on \(X\) and a linear subspace \(\Gamma\in H^0(X, E^{\oplus a})\) of dimension \(s\).
