For a given right invertible operator \(D\) in \(L(X)\) and its right inverse \(R\), the author has introduced two families of shifts, viz. \(R\)-shifts and \(D\)-shifts and has obtained the following results: i) If \(X\) is a complete linear metric locally convex space, then \(D\) is an infinitesimal generator for \(R\)-shifts and so on. ii) If \(X\) is a Banach space and \(R\) is quasinilpotent, then both families of shifts shall coincide. Based on these, the author goes on to introduce true Shifts, and respectively some new results have been obtained.
