Let \(\Omega\) be a pseudoconvex domain with smooth boundary, let \(Z\) be an analytic space defined by holomorphic functions \(h_ 1,...,h_ p\) in a neighborhood of \({\bar\Omega}\) such that \(Z\setminus{\bar\Omega}\) and \({\bar\Omega}\) are regularly situated. We show that all functions which are \(\ell^{\infty}\) on \(Z\cap {\bar\Omega }\) and holomorphic in the interior of \(Z\cap {\bar\Omega }\) in Z are restrictions to \(Z\cap {\bar\Omega }\) of functions of \(A^{\infty}(\Omega)\). The techniques allow us to prove known results on division problems in the strictly pseudoconvex case and to generalize them to the weakly pseudoconvex case. For an unbounded pseudoconvex domain \(\Omega\), we show first that the Dolbeault complex for differential forms \(C^{\infty}\) up to the boundary is exact and prove the results above under the hypothesis that the ideal generated by \(h_ 1,...,h_ p\) in \({\mathcal C}^{\infty}({\bar\Omega })\) is closed.
